Some farmers arrive at coffee. Reniery Orlando Carvajal Guevara was born to it, raised watching his grandparents tend traditional varieties and carrying that childhood dream into more than twenty-five years of farming alongside his wife in Equiapara, San Andrés, Lempira.
For Reniery, coffee is inheritance as much as livelihood, and he has held to it through hard seasons. When the 2012 leaf rust outbreak and collapsing prices pushed many growers out, he stayed and kept investing in quality. That persistence has been answered on the country's biggest stage. His farm has placed in the Honduras Cup of Excellence again and again: second in 2018, sixth in 2019, sixth and seventh in 2023, and fifth in 2025. The recognition opened the door to international buyers and sharpened his drive to keep refining.
This is a washed Typica from a grower who has spent a lifetime earning the right to say, in his own words, that he will always be proud to call himself a coffee farmer.
